Hi everyone, new to home recording and thus new the forum.
I really do not want to bother you guys with any silly question, also, I apologize in case a similar topic already exists here but as you will understand my problem is basically a vocabulary problem i.e. I just do not know how to call 'this thing' in English so this is the main reason why I need some help.

Sound Effects Rock Guitar & Bass Amp is an Ableton audio effect that delivers warmth and drive without hassles. Co-developed with Softube, Amp accurately delivers the sound and simplicity of legendary amplifiers and cabinets. Guitar amp and effect modelling is easily good enough these days, and Live is the perfect host. Using guitars with Ableton Live 10: step-by-step. SimulAnalog Guitar Suite – VST guitar plug-in suite This suite of plug-ins models various amps and analogue processors. Among the models are a Boss DS-1 distortion and SD-1 overdrive, Tube Screamer, phaser, modulation, a ’69 Fender Twin and a Marshall JCM900 Dual Reverb. I recorded some clean electric guitar with a mic, it sounds good clean after some filter, compression, EQ, etc. /ableton-9-serial-number-generator-mac.html. But, I am trying to find a way to get a nice distortion sound without it sounding unpleasantly noisy, especially without that awfully piercing treble noise many of Ableton's options provide. Guitar amp and effect modelling is easily good enough these days, and Live is the perfect host. Download max for ableton. Using guitars with Ableton Live 10: step-by-step. GuitarNow this concerns recording guitars and effects on my Ableton Live 10 which I purchased no longer than a couple of days ago. I am just wondering if I could use Live's effects (delay, reverb, etc.) instead of my Line 6 pedal while recording an electric guitar track so that I would listen to the effect from the software in action while recording and then fine tune it afterwards. I am sure you all understand what I mean: I would prefer not to use my pedal because once recorded the effect would no longer be editable! I suppose this is quite obvious. But then I really need a particular delay to be on while recording one particular track otherwise I would just mess everything up with the picking. I have tried a few times with a clean guitar but it does not work.
Please notice that I am currently not using any third party effects, only Live 10.
I have a couple of Softube plugins actually which I got free with my Focusrite thing, installed but not used yet.
I am quite sure I can do it. I just do not know how to call this function in English! So I can't find any tutorial about it. So how do you call this?

Record Guitar Ableton

Thanks a lot in advance to all those who will reply and sorry again for asking noob stuff.Hey guys. So I've been trying to run my electric guitar into Ableton to do some recording and I'm not really finding myself satisfied with the results. I'm feeding it in through my audio interface and using the Amp audio effect but I'm just not really getting a sounds I'm very happy with. I've tried using some of Ableton's effects to process the sound but I'm still just not very satisfied with the results. I was wondering if you guy had any advice as to how I can attain a better sound from my guitar. Should I try adding some gain from the mic pre-amp or is that a bad idea? What's the typical method of getting a quality sound by feeding a guitar directly into Ableton?
Thanks,
Boss
