Remove Garageband Instruments Mac

15.12.2020

As part of the upcoming transition to 64-bit technology in macOS, GarageBand 6.0.5 won’t be compatible with future versions of macOS, starting with the recently announced macOS Catalina 10.15. With GarageBand 10 for macOS, you can open and continue to work on the projects that you created in GarageBand 6.0.5.

Update GarageBand

  • You can remove these manually by searching for “GarageBand” in your various system folders, or you can quickly hit them all with a third party OS X “uninstaller” app. The two OS X uninstaller apps that we recommend are AppZapper ($13) and AppCleaner (Free).
  • Open up the Finder, click Applications on the left side, and then select GarageBand. Drag GarageBand to the Trash (or right click on it and then select Move to Trash option). Right click the Trash icon and select Empty Trash option to start the uninstall. This drag-to-delete method works in all versions of Mac OS X.

Jul 17, 2017  Question: Q: How to delete GarageBand instruments and lessons? Hello, I’m running macOS 10.12 and under storage management it says that 'GarageBand instruments and lessons are using 1,02 GB. You can manage these files using GarageBand.' One major problem with Apple’s DAW is the size: its base instrument library is 2 GB, and the “additional content”, which includes some of the most popular synthesizers and samples, is over 4.6 GB. The Jam Packs are hefty too, and GarageBand’s sound library is also required to be on your computer to use Logic. Aug 02, 2019  Here’s how to do it: Launch the Finder. Next, click on the Applications tab in the menu on the left side of the window. Find the GarageBand icon on the list and select it. Drag the icon over to Trash in the Docker menu. Alternatively, you can press the Command and Delete keys on your Mac’s keyboard.
